Our Sale Racks
Occasionally people ask us when we have sales. Twice a year--we do the Healdsburg "Sidewalk Sales" in March and August. But you don't have to wait for the sidewalk sales to check out our sale area in the back of the store.
Everything on the sale racks is top quality, fresh from the front of the store. As we sell items, new ones are constantly rotated in. As you can see, we have shirts--both long- and short-sleeved--a few sport jackets, some shorts, bathing suits, and a quite a few pairs of jeans and slacks. The shelf right below the "Sale" sign holds mostly tee shirts.
The small print: "sale" sales are final--no returns, no exchanges. For jeans or pants that need to be shortened, we charge a nominal $12 to cover our costs.
There are lots of great choices, and the selection changes frequently, so be sure to check our sale racks every time you visit!

Where the Grilles Are...
...and some of our latest arrivals, too. Aside from our vault dressing room--Outlander occupies part of the former Bank of America--another fun and outstanding feature of the shop are the automobile grilles throughout. (All of which, by the way, are for sale.) One day it dawned on us that there were a lot of grilles on one wall, but no clothes. This is, after all, a clothing store first and foremost. And grilles, amazingly, provide endless combinations for hanging, well, hangers. So, our wall of grills has become a showcase for some of our most recent shirt acquisitions. As you might imagine, the display changes quite frequently!
Kroon Sportcoats
Kroon makes some wonderful sportcoats, and we have several new ones for the cooler weather. Their medium-wale corduroy in a camel color is classically styled and would be a very versatile addition to anyone's wardrobe. Here it's in casual mode, teamed up with a Georg Roth shirt, shirt cuffs pulled down all the way and turned up over the jacket sleeve to reveal the contrast fabric on the inside.
Another jacket which is really spectacular does indoor/outdoor double duty. To start, it's a wool-cashmere blend which comes in either a navy or dark charcoal pinstripe. On top of that, the details are amazing. The sleeves feature working buttons. There's a self-fabric partial lining that extends only about four inches inside either side of the jacket, which zips up for outdoor wear. The lining wraps up the shoulders and around the neck, providing a nice looking double collar effect. If it's really cold outside and you're so inclined, you can also button the blazer, turn the collar up, and use the tab hidden under the collar to button the collar closed. Once you're inside, the partial lining zips out, leaving you with a sharp-looking blazer...four pockets outside and six inside, including one for your iPod and one for your phone. It doesn't get much better than this!

Shoes!!
Our regulars know us as a source for some of the classic OluKai shoes and sandals. For a big pop of color, we've added this OluKai trainer featuring an amazingly comfortable, dual density, anatomically contoured footbed. Though built as a trainer, it can easily be a foot-caressing fashion accessory for your wardrobe.
We've brought in a new line of shoes from Germany..."Trippen." Loaded with European style--featuring fine Italian leathers, asymmetrical stitching and, in some cases, turned toe caps and unique soles-- they've been flying out the door. Be sure to check them out when you visit. We're one of only six Trippen retail outlets in California, and the only one north of the Bay Area!

Love it or leave it...
ably the wildest shirt
at Outlander. It has also been our fastest selling since it arrived, and is being reordered. As you can see, it's seriously distressed looking, and each one is slightly different. The details are amazing. Warp yarns are snipped and pulled out, resulting in little red squares bordered by tufts of blue. The collar and cuffs are lined with gingham, echoing the pattern of the shirt. A multicolored tape runs the length of the inside placket and borders the cuff and sleeve. The fabric inside the shirt is a shiny bluish-red, with red squares from where the blue yarn was cut and pulled. You can turn the cuff up once to reveal the gingham and colored tape, or go one step further to show the inside of the sleeve. It's fun, but not for everyone!
