New Looks for Fall

The seasons are changing, and slowly the weather will start to cool down. It's time to put away those summer clothes and pull out the fall and winter gear. New in store are our fall and winter collections from many different brands that you love.

New shirts from Bugatchi are in! 

Light weight, super soft cotton, long sleeve shirt from Agave for those colder nights. Layer up in style -- handcrafted and distressed coloring in dark teal with contrast stitching.

This sweater from Agave has the look of a light wool, but is actually 100% cotton. The dark moss-green color makes it easy to pair with a variety of gear and the ribbing in a sea blue adds a twist of color.

Alberto denim makes any outfit more stylish. These two new washes, in chocolate and inky blue, are meant to be worn with the cuffs rolled up.  

Wine Country Weddings

It's that time of year again, its wedding season! Whether it is a casual or dressy wedding, we are sure to help you get fitted with the right look. Here are two style ideas on how to dress for a wine country wedding -- 

Light colors, silks, and linens give this look an easy and relaxed feel.  This light weight, cream colored blazer from Ibiza has good structure but soft enough to pair with the soft texture of linen. The pants are a silk-cotton blend from Scott Barber that look luxurious, but are still easy to wear. This white linen shirt has great flow and the tones of browns and tans pull the look together. Paired this outfit with a light brown leather boot from Trippen.

For a more formal wedding, this look is perfect. A black and white checkered Paul Betenly blazer, which is a silk cotton blend, and burgundy shirt from Georg Roth make any outfit look dressy. Worn with a pair of Alberto pima cotton black pants, the look is sleek and classic. These Trippen shoes are awesome! A throw back to wing tips the leather is actually painted. It's a complete formal look for your wine country wedding!

GREAT GIFT IDEAS FOR FATHER'S DAY

The time of year has come again when we celebrate and honor our fathers, fatherhood, and all things paternal... It's Father's Day! Looking for the perfect gift for Dad? Here are some ideas to get you started.

Pocket squares rule

Gone are the days of blowing your nose or patting an eye with the pocket square. Pocket squares are a luxurious and luscious little detail that, when done right, can take a man from looking good to GQ status. Getting it right, however, isn't as easy as it might seem.  

Recently, GQ put out a great video on the basic how-to's of successfully wearing a pocket square to elevate your look. Here's the basic rules to picking the right pocket square and joining the illustrious roster of sports heroes, rock stars, celebrities, and the generally gorgeous that grace the pages of GQ --

Rule #1 -- Never match your pocket square with your tie or shirt.  Instead, pick out a color that is similar or complementary.

Rule #2 -- Pattern on pattern is not necessarily a no-no.  When dealing with pattern (checks, plaid, polka-dots, etc.) be sure that your pocket square is a different scale and different color value for a successful look.

Rule #3 -- Take an element of casual and give it pizzaz.  The simple and whimsical can completely transform a look when paired with the right jacket, shirt, or tie.  Even something as unsuspecting as a bandana can be elevated when used as a pocket square.

Gear up for Easter

Great new jackets have come in! There are three new Ibiza jackets that are a sleek, modern Italian cut. They are all light weight and versatile. Of the three jackets, two are pictured here in navy blue and ivory.

Along with these jackets, there are new shirts that will help your Easter look. 

This Jhane Barnes is an awesome shirt. This is a silk-cotton blend with five different shades of purple and black. The black isn't very noticeable though since it is mixed in with white threads to make grey tones. The top stitching on the sleeve adds a subtle touch of elegance to the shirt. Hurry in, these items are leaving the store fast!

New Rodd and Gunn for Spring!

The box arrived... what's inside?  Rodd and Gunn new gear for spring.

Everything's out on display.  We've added our new apparel to match with the new True Grit super soft, zip-collar sweatshirts in blue and green, the lightweight and distressed v-neck sweaters from Lenor R. in sand and sky blue, and Agave t-shirts with the contrast stitching.

The blue, mustard, and chocolate plaid number looks awesome with the Missani lamb's skin and sherpa vest (not pictured). For hot weather days, all the shirts match really well with the cobalt blue cargo shorts that also came in the box.  Constructed from Italian fabric, the shorts would look great with a pair of our Olukai sandals.

Barrel Tasting Weekend "Get The Look"

March in Healdsburg is idyllic spring weather, cold mornings that waken to warm, balmy and sunny afternoons.  Get this week's look for enjoying your Barrel Tasting Weekend in wine country -- 

New for Spring! Rodd and Gunn have produced a short sleeve, linen button-down in plaid.  Cool earth tones and ocean blues make this elegant and classic item look worn with ease.  The jacket is a heavy linen.  The multiple pockets, and loose, cargo-style cut give the look a rugged, masculine feel weathered by the heavy weight linen.  The jeans are made in America by Agave.  This style is their Pragmatist line -- a classic, straight leg cut, with a little stretch and give make the jean extremely practical and easy to wear.  Beautiful dark, inky-blue colors match with all earth tones -- blues, browns, blacks, and grays.  For the Spring chill, layer it all with a super soft, gray tee from Patrick Assaraf.  95% cotton and 5% spandex make this shirt very comfortable to wear and a little fitted with lots of movement.

It's that time of year again, when Healdsburg gears up for the annual barrel tasting weekend series. Saturday, February 9, plan on visiting Outlander Men's Gear for a trunk show featuring two of our  prestigious Italian clothing lines.  Representatives from Luchiano Visconti and Missani will show their latest collections of shirts and leathers, respectively.  Pre-orders will be taken, and we'll have a drawing at the end of the day, the winner of which will receive a Luchiano Visconti shirt of his or her choosing.

Classy-Dressy & Classy-Casual

Classy-Dressy...
Here's a silk/wool blend houndstooth blazer from Paul Betenly, with a striped cotton shirt from Bugatchi, and a half-zip cashmere sweater from Raffi.  Slacks are tencel, from Tori Richard.  A silk pocket square with black background and polka dots of white and blue-fading-to-gray ties it all together.

Classy-Casual...
There's a lot of "wow" factor in this lambskin jacket from Missani.  We wrote about it below.  We've had to re-order it to keep it in stock, which is pretty unusual for a leather jacket.  The shirt is Scott Barber...a cotton plaid with a background of black and smoky blue-gray, and gold striping.  A cotton, double-zip hoodie from Thaddeus--black with golden brown sticthing--ties the shirt and jacket together.  The jeans are "triple indigo," garment dyed from Agave.  Turning them up at the bottom (not in the photo, unfortunately) reveals black inside, with contrast gold stitching, beautifully echoing the hoodie!

Reasons to Visit Healdsburg
